ICF RETREAT 2009!!

March 16th, 2009 . by admin

*******March 27th-29th at Camp of the Woods******

It’s that time of the year again! ICF is hosting our annual ICF Retreat! The biggest event of the year! The theme of this year’s retreat is “Walk in the Light” based on the following passage:
“This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” - 1 John 1:5-7

This retreat is open to absolutely everyone! So if you can please try to make it! We really hope to see alumni there, and we can always use your help and support. If you are interested in coming, please print and fill out the registration form at the bottom of this post. Turn in your registration forms and money as soon as you can!
We want a good estimate of how many people are planning on coming. Since finances are tight, please feel free to pay more than the minimum amount.

SEE YOU THERE!

Meeting Feb 7th!

February 7th, 2009 . by admin

Hey guys, just a quick update. This past Thursday we had our first bible study of the semester in Campus Center 364 at 8pm, it was a good number of people that showed up and it was such a blessing. We will be going bowling this Thursday, but if any of you want to come check it out, we will meet again for bible study on the 26th. Today, Feb 7th we’re having our weekly ICF meeting in CC 375. Pastor Anthony from River of Life is speaking to us today from the word. It’s his first time speaking for us, but he’s an awesome speaker, so come ready to hear from God! This week like usual, we will have time for Godwatch and as always we have FREE food and games after! So please come join us to be blessed and for fun and fellowship!

Bowling Jan 29 and ICF meeting Jan 31!

January 28th, 2009 . by admin

Hey guys! It’s been a while since we have updated…so we’ll be updating our website more often with details about our meetings and events and so forth. We had a successful and blessed first ICF meeting of the semester, praise God! We are looking forward to a night of bowling this Thursday at Town N Country lanes, it’s a dollar for shoes, and games, and rides are provided. It’s loads of fun, helps us relieve from the stress of school and have fellowship with each other. Additionally, on Saturday, we’re having an ICF Meeting at 7 pm at Campus Center 375 (at SUNY Albany, just incase it’s unclear). Our speaker for the night will be Pastor Dan Rushing, who has spoken or us in the past. He is a Pastor at New Beginnings Fellowship and reaches out to specifically college students. He is a great speaker and we’re looking forward to what God has placed in his heart to share with us. We also have a time for “God watch” in which people just share what God has done for them in the past week or whenever just to truly show how great God is. Afterwards, we have FREE food and games, so even after the meeting, we have more time to fellowship with each other and get to know each other better and truly be brothers and sisters in Christ! =)

Crossroads

September 18th, 2008 . by admin

I stand at a crossroad in my life
I see both roads in front of me but cannot see as far as I wish to see
One tempts me as the other calls
They pull and tug at the ends of my heart, but I am not alone
I look within for the blessing the lord has left me
His dove that casts light over the shadows in my mind
It calls to me and answers my pleading cry for help
It shows me where I must go
It shows me what I wish to do most, above all
To love the lord and show his glory to the world
Now I ask of all of you…how many have listened to your own?
